Today’s Lively List:

The Best of 2014

Yet another year has flown right by, leaving us “hooked on a feeling” (with
stars in our eyes).  Appropriate, because I think everyone on the planet is
counting down the days until the new “Star Wars” movie premieres !

But, before we look ahead, we must look behind.  No, I’m not talking about
Niki Minaj’s “Anaconda” video.  I’m talking about 2014 in film !  There were
so many memorable artistic endeavors to choose from…

Here are the ten best:

  1. well.. some of your “nods” wound up on stage at the Golden Globes! But I do believe that’s what the Globes are for to point out good movies that more then likely won’t get Oscars.
I love How to Train your Dragon. I will always believe that “Hiccup” is one of the all time best character names ever lol.
of course I love love love the final Hobbit movie. (made me sad, sad, sad…I love the “good guys” characters in the Hobbit and LotR)
Happy 2015 Daniel!.. I hope your year is filled with good health and much laughter!

  2. The Golden Globes ceremony was a lot of fun this year. I was happy to see many of my favorite films represented. I still have to see a few movies that were up for awards (including “Whiplash” and “Selma”).

I am also sad that next December we won’t be able to visit “Middle-earth” on the big screen again. At least we have the extended version of “Five Armies” coming out on various formats later this year. My favorite cinematic “Hobbit” heroes are “Gandalf the Grey” (Ian McKellen) and “Galadriel” (Cate Blanchett).

Happy 2015 to you too, Pat ! 🙂
